FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How Can I Get My Own Music Featured On The Show ?

The quickest and easiest way to get your music included on the show is to send me a Bandcamp YUM code via the contact form on this site , or email an mp3 file directly to me at [email protected]

You are also welcome to send links to other sites such as Soundcloud or Spotify, but it may take a while before I get around to listening. I try my best to listen to everything I’m sent, but I often get snowed under with requests. If you’ve contacted me and I’ve not replied within a month , apologies - please retry in case I missed your mail.

Is This A ‘Pay To Play’  Music Promotion Service ?

No. Absolutely not. I do this because I love listening to all the great music I wouldn’t otherwise get to hear. There will never be any fees to get featured on the show. Please beware of sites and people who promise thousands of plays and followers …… for a fee ! These folks are more often than not unscrupulous cowboys looking to rip you off 🤠 The show will always remain free to listen to as well.

What is a ‘Homebrew Session’ ?

Homebrew Sessions are exclusive 15-20 minute sets kindly recorded especially for the show by some of the top ‘indie Electronica’ artists and bands.  These sessions are currently by invite only.

If you would like to discuss the possibility of featuring your album in an upcoming episodes ‘featured album’ spot, then please drop me a message using the contact form on the site.

Do I Get Paid If You Play My Music ?

As a small individual podcaster I am not registered with PPL or any other royalty collection systems. This is not because I don’t believe artists should be paid when their work is played , it’s just that personal registration is prohibitively expensive , and runs into hundreds of pounds a year.

I do this on my own , for fun , and to help promote your music. I have no  big podcasting budget sadly.

Any royalties you may earn from plays on the show will come to you directly from from Mixcloud ,where I carefully tag each track and artist.

If I intend to play your music on the show for the first time , especially where I’ve discovered it myself rather than it being sent to me, I will always ask for your permission to do so before the episode airs.

I also try and buy personally from Bandcamp as much of the music that I play on the Show as I can to help support artists. Although I have to admit since the cost of living ‘crises’ has started to bite and affect me more, my budget for Bandcamp and iTunes purchases has had to be reduced. Apologies.
